GIRLS FOOTBALL - AGES 4-18

Roslyn Wakari AFC is committed to providing a welcoming and empowering environment for girls who want to play football.

We work hard to attract and support enough female players to form dedicated all-girls teams, giving them the opportunity to compete in girls-only grades and enjoy the game in a setting designed specifically for them.

Our focus is on creating a positive, inclusive space where girls of all abilities feel encouraged, valued, and confident to express themselves. Whether they’re completely new to football or have been playing for years, we aim to offer experiences that build skills, friendships, and a strong sense of belonging.

We believe girls thrive when they can learn, play, and grow together, and Roslyn Wakari is proud to foster teams that celebrate teamwork, resilience, and enjoyment of the sport. With supportive coaches, regular training, and competitive fixtures throughout the season, our girls’ programme is designed to help every player develop and have fun.

COACHES & VOLUNTEERS

Roslyn Wakari warmly encourages parents to get involved in our junior club, especially by stepping into coaching or team management roles. You don’t need to be a football expert, what matters most is enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to support young players as they learn and grow.

Being part of a junior team gives you the chance to share in your child’s football journey, build strong connections within the community, and make a real difference in the development and enjoyment of our young players.

For parents who are new to coaching or managing, Roslyn Wakari provides as much support as possible to help you feel confident and prepared. From guidance on running training sessions to access to helpful resources, mentoring, and a friendly network of experienced volunteers, we’re here to make sure you never feel like you’re doing it alone.

Not only that — if you coach a junior team, we’ll give you a special rate for your subs! Getting involved is rewarding, fun, and a great way to contribute to the positive, family-focused environment that makes Roslyn Wakari such a special club.

PLAYING GEAR

  • 6th - 13th grade players need to purchase their own playing top (if they don't have one already).

  • All-girls Youth teams are supplied playing tops, including goal keeping tops and gloves.

  • Players will also need:
    • black playing shorts,
    • plain black socks,
    • shin pads,
    • boots.
